My Codes of Conduct
Confidentiality
I hold everything a client shares with me, directly or by inference, as strictly confidential.
As part of my professional practice I receive regular supervision. I take work to supervision anonymously, so as to protect the identity of the client. The supervision process is itself bound by confidentiality.
Exceptionally, where I have grounds to believe that a client or someone else is in danger of serious harm, I might have to break confidentiality. Where possible I would discuss this with the client beforehand. There are certain legal circumstances under which I can be required to reveal information.

I subscribe to the Codes of Conduct for the following professional bodies. Each has a procedure for handling any complaint against a member.
